Cycle For A Cause

Four of us, who are graduating from BYU in April of ’10, have organized a bike ride down the entire state of Utah. Like most people, the plight of cancer has personally affected us all. By partnering with LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong foundation, we are doing what we can to help in the fight against cancer. Our plan is to ride for 6 days, averaging 85 miles per day. We will be starting our journey on the shores of Bear Lake, and riding until we reach the red rocks of St. George. We are hoping that, with your help, we can make a difference. All donations will go directly and entirely to the LIVESTRONG foundation. If you are interested in getting involved by supporting this great cause, please just follow the “DONATE” link. Any amount that you are able to give will be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

Bike Route Through Utah

Eric Teachout Bio

Eric (or as his friends call him, "Chout") is a very ambitious young man with a busy schedule ahead of him. This summer he is looking to bike the state of Utah, even though he doesn’t own a bike. He also plans to marry before summers end, despite the fact that he is 100% single. Additionally, he's looking to hit it big in the huge city (Washington D.C.), regardless of the fact that all he’s ever known is the tiny town of Athens, Michigan. (so small that there is no need for a single stop light). But he is on the right track, he knows that biking over 500 miles will help him trim the body (I mean really, look at that pic. This kid knows how to eat) which in turn will help him land the girl, who will then help him make a name for himself out east. But in all seriousness Eric is graduating from Brigham Young University with a Masters degree in Accounting and will be moving to McLean, VA to join the prestigious accounting firm Ernst & Young.

Neal Ballew Bio

Whoever said accountants have a dull personality clearly wasn't speaking of Neal Ballew. By simply glancing at this picture you can tell that he is a wild one. Neal is graduating with a Masters degree in Accounting-Audit from BYU. His exciting career will start in Washington DC, where he will be working for the infamous firm, Ernst & Young. You will often find Neal in the outdoors, even if it's at the expense of missing an afternoon of classes. He loves to hike, mountain climb, bike, run, and do pretty much anything that keeps him active. His latest endeavor is the game of golf, and although it was a rough start, lately he has shown a lot of promise. watch out TIGER!

Trent Tipton Bio

Provo's entire single, male population is happy Trent Tipton is finally married, I mean come on? No one can compete with these good looks!I Although he is talented in many ways, one area stands out amongst the rest, Frisbee Golf!! Although he doesn't look like your typical Frolfer, he can hold his own, even when matched up against the very best. He also enjoys skiing, biking, picnics, and arts and crafts. He will soon be graduating from BYU with a degree in exercise science. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school. He is guaranteed to be pulling the rest of us along during the entire bike ride, but what else can you expect from someone who qualified for the Boston Marathon by finishing the St. George Marathon in 3 hours and 8 minutes.

Michael Orton Bio

As evident by his photo, Michael is a "LADIES MAN". Just one look at him as the wind blows through his hair makes the ladies weak in the knees. Even with his good looks he doesn't depend solely on his modeling earnings. Guess what ladies, he has Masters in Accounting-Tax at BYU and he is going to law school in the fall. He enjoys being outside hiking, biking, mountain climbing, and more. Don't worry, he is athletic too as he has been part of multiple intramural football championships.
